Verdict

The maiden Eighteen Summers came in for support at Killarney last week but didn't get the best of runs and supporters will be looking for compensation. Ancient Sands has run well over hurdles since a fine effort over the C&D a month ago and Quench The Flame returned to form on heavy ground at Tramore so a 3lb rise doesn't look excessive. GRIS LADERA scored over a mile here last month and was staying on over 1m2f at Roscommon last time. She looks the type to be suited by this trip and gets the nod though Wrekin Rock looks a major threat after his success at the Curragh, his second victory there this year. Forest Minx is entering the veteran stage on the Flat but hasn't had much racing and won a Tramore handicap by 11 lengths when last seen in June though that was on fast ground.
