Verdict

WILL IF I WANT can overcome top-weight status here to score and has the verdict but Weather Permitting could be well handicapped and Balakar isn't ruled out either. It could be that the selection is ahead of the handicapper coming into this after not being beaten far by a promising Ferdy Murphy runner who has since gone on to score again and easily off a mark of 115. If running up to that form he is well ahead of his rivals and the assessor while the booking of Timmy Murphy for the first time looks a positive sign. Weather Permitting also looks to be competing in a handicap for the first time off a decent mark but the form of David Pipe's runner is no match for the selection's. Balakar looks off a fair rating having run solidly off this burden the last twice and he should go well again but looks to be waiting for a reprieve from the assessor before scoring again. Plane Painter, Sovereign Spirit and Formedable have all got enough in their past form lines to have a decent short at the prize money but it should be place prizes with Will If I Want the likely winner.
