Verdict

PRAY FOR A RAINBOW, well supported when beaten on his last three starts, may appreciate this return to hurdles as his fencing technique has not proved the most proficient. He does have a hurdling success to his name and the drop in trip should not prove an inconvenience. Eddy, a close second the last twice, makes a quick reappearance after going down by just a head at Uttoxeter five days ago. He also stays the trip well but is unproven on really soft/heavy ground. Ormskirk delivered an improved effort last time and demands respect on that basis, whilst Nick Gifford fires a double shot with Solar Glory and Black Lightning, the latter returning from wind surgery.
