In depth

Verdict

Just Ruben, Almanoso and Walcot Lad look the ones to concentrate on in this novices chase and the confident vote goes to Just Ruben. The gelding from the Colin Tizzard yard was a good second behind Tino last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Almanoso rates the main danger on his latest third in a selling hurdle behind Count Tony but he may be best watched on this his chasing debut. Walcot Lad was fourth in a seller behind Fairtoto last time and he will need to improve significantly for the switch to hurdles if he is to beat the selection Just Ruben.
