In depth

Verdict

Legal Eyes should improve for a debut second at Bangor in December and is likely to start favourite. He makes more appeal than Irish import Some Day Soon and equally-exposed Taunton third Dancing Doug. Hunt Politics has won a maiden point but hasn’t pulled up any trees in two runs under Rules. IRISH ODYSSEY is by top stayer Yeats and a half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser King’s Odyssey, who was second in a bumper on his racecourse debut. Neil Mulholland’s newcomer should go close, though any market interest in the four-year-old Cracker Jak would also be significant.
