In depth

Verdict

Regain Du Charbonneau continues to frustrate supporters so we will look elsewhere and plump for NOBBY KIVAMBO ahead of Risk Challenge. Interestingly Tony McCoy takes over in the saddle on the selection and Brendan Powell's gelding has solid form claims anyway after a fourth-place-finish to Washango at Worcester. This longer trip should be within his grasp, especially on good ground, and his mark of 90 should be no barrier to success. Regain Du Charbonneau's run behind Nomad last time looks solid on the face of it but he has tended to race very lazily and he is not one to rely on regardless of whether the money comes or not. What's For Tea is more interesting on her good fourth to Ruby Crown at Towcester, Risk Challenge is 2lb lower in the handicap despite winning a selling handicap last time out, whilst Atabaas Allure is unexposed and not one to ignore especially if there is market support for Chris Gordon's filly. A race where the market should be informative really but without that knowledge we are happy enough to plump for Nobby Kivambo.
