Verdict

BUTTON MOON, My Mate Al and Allegrissimo make the shortlist here, with Button Moon taken to get off the mark. The selection chased up the useful Dinkum Diamond, the subsequent National Stakes winner, before finishing a crediatable second last time. His level of form looks superior to those with experience. Allegrissimo has shown some ability, notably on his second start, when finishing a creditable fifth. The form looks reasonable and he is an improving type who can reach the frame here. My Mate Al also showed imrprovement to finish a close third at Wolverhampton recently, and he too can figure. Heed should be taken of market support for the newcomers, but it will take a useful individual to beat Button Moon.
