Verdict

CATCH THE RASCAL caught the eye on debut and can take this race ahead of Billy Merriott and E Street Boy. Seamus Mullin's Presenting filly shaped with plenty of promise here in April when sixth to Madame Jasmine. She didn't get the message until late on and if she has learnt from that then a bold bid should be forthcoming. Glory Nights will be a danger after coming over from Ireland given that this former point-to-pointer's third to Romantic Lead at Cork is likely to hold up well in this race, Junior Jack was a faller on his sole start between the flags, whilst E Street Boy is bred to make an impact in the National Hunt scene. He is the second foal of a mare who is from a very successful family and with AP McCoy booked for the ride he is fancied to take a prominent role in a race his stable are sponsoring. Billy Merriott is to be respected coming from his top yard and his dam is a half-sister to a bumper winner, the flat-bred Track Star needs a market check for a shrewd yard having cost 100,000 guineas as a yearling, whilst Golden Celebration has shaped with a degree of promise but will have to go hurdling after this (probably fruitless) final bumper run. Catch The Rascal is taken to win this finale.
