Verdict

Six Of Diamonds is selected here ahead of Press The Button and Ebert. Six Of Diamonds was a little unlucky to be demoted after being first past the post at Bath last time from today's mark. Having won two of his five races prior to that, and likely to be effective in what could be a tactical affair, he gets our vote today. Press The Button gave the short-priced favourite Seabow something to think about at Sandown last and, even though he has been raised three pounds for that effort, still looks weighted to go well. First-time blinkers elicited some improvement from Ebert last time as he stayed on for a never-nearer finish. Cheekpieces are tried today and, if ridden slightly handier, could well go well today. Secret Liaison has won here but needs a career-best effort if he is going to score, while Incloch's mark is fair and he should strip fitter following his seasonal return. The selection, though, is Six Of Diamonds.
