Verdict

The market should offer the best clues with newcomer, Painted Moon - a relation to top class fillies Crimplene and Dutch Gold taking on the experienced pairing of Kawakib and Zwadi. The Loder team have been carrying all before them and it would be difficult to go against them on the recent evidence of the two-year-old's performances. The filly was enough thought of to take out a Cheveley Park entry and she will need to win this to book her place. Kawakib was sent off at a short price at Kempton Park on her second start. She did not look to have built on her debut effort and will need to prove herself here this evening. Zwadi looked as if seven furlongs would suit last time out and she should have been sharpened up for her Salisbury run. Miss Procurer has had a long absence since appearing in a hot York event and is best watched today. Zweibrucken finished second to a useful type from the Barry Hills yard last time out and there should be no problems with today's trip or going. Therefore we will nominate Painted Moon as the best of the newcomers and Zwadi as the best of those to have seen the starter thus far.
