In depth

Verdict

Sofia's Star won well last time and can score again at the main expense of Aaim To Storm and Silver Wind. This colt has only had two runs but he shaped with plenty of promise on his debut and then showed improved form to beat Primed and Poised at Goodwood last time. He has no trip or ground worries and he stands out as the one to beat. Aaim To Storm was a fair fourth behind Spanish Bounty at Newmarket last time but he had the race run to suit that day and he was unable to capitalise so we will pass him over today. Silver Wind clearly has ability but he does not look straightforward and there was plenty of evidence of that last time when he hung badly right when he came under pressure. Ronsai will have learnt plenty from his debut and with his yard in form he has to be respected, but there is plenty to like about Sofia's Star and he gets the vote.
