This race looks competitive but fairly modest and in it we will side with River Bailiff over, possibly, Just Lark, Mill Lord and Gray Night. The selection finished second in a point last time so comes here in fairly good heart and, having gained a rating Under Rules of around the 90 mark within the last year, looks to have a lot in his favour, although his Rules rating did rather observe him in a kind light. Most of the others have not shown much at all of late, although Commassaris finished a a fair second to Ballinure Boy in this race two years ago. However, he remains a maiden hunter. Gray Night showed promise over hurdles back in 2002 and comes here as a winning pointer, so watch the betting with regard to his chances, a comment that might be a good one to follow in this tricky contest. Just Lark and Mill Lord come here as recent winning pointers which affords them a chance of sorts, but the others need to step up on what they have shown in recent times. Once again, then, the selection is River Bailiff.
