Verdict

A lot of these have questions to answer but we will take a chance on To Wit To Woo, with Jack Of Trumps and Galloway Mac both capable of taking a hand in the finish. To Wit To Woo was second to Intricate Web in a decent handicap at Wolverhampton in January before inexplicably running abysmally next time at the same track, if he is on a going day he has every chance of landing this prize. Jack Of Trumps landed his maiden at Lingfield in January before being outclassed in a tough handicap at the same track, this is more his level and he looks set to make a bold bid. Galloway Mac ran consistently well on the all-weather over the winter and returned to the turf with an excellent fourth behind Miss Pebbles here last week. That was a classified event but he does look fairly treated for his first venture into handicaps. Blazing The Trail, a recent winner at Lingfield and Lara Falana, the mount of Richard Quinn, also catch the eye, but in what is a very tricky finale Too Wit To Woo just gets the vote.
