    Verdict

The experienced runners look nothing special and so we will side with Jaasey, with Mae Cigan and Red Emerald put forward as the main rivals. Mick Channon's colt is nicely bred by Josr Algarhoud out of winning miler Saaryeh. The stable is in good form at the moment and although the selection will possibly prefer further in time he should be good enough to beat these opponents. Mae Cigan also has a touch of stamina on the sires side, but his dam is a half sister to five two-year-old winners at differing trips. Red Emerald showed plenty of promise on her debut, finishing an excellent third behind Salute Him at this track. She should improve for the outing and should be the one to take advantage if the newcomers are only moderate. The market will prove invaluable here, but without that knowledge we have to plump for Jaasey.
