In depth

Verdict

Pretty Miss can make a winning return at the expense of Lady Lafitte and Priceless Melody, with Come What May the other to mention. Pretty Miss finished runner-up twice from four career starts last year, both times in maiden company, but was well beaten on her first venture into nursery company here on her final start in September. Back amongst her fellow maidens, she is all set to bounce back and open her account. Barry Hills is taking a chance dropping Lady Lafitte to the minimum trip for the first time, as on breeding she should be found wanting. However, the stable is in form, and she will be fitter for her return to action at Kempton a month ago. Priceless Melody has been kept busy on the all-weather but is now fully exposed compared to the rest, while Come What May has only raced on soft ground so far, so is best watched. Pretty Miss has the best form on offer, and is the one to beat.
