Verdict

It’s taken a while to get Young General on to a racecourse but it would be no surprise if he started making up for last time in this. A 105,000gns yearling, he’s a half-brother to four winners though this may be on the short side. DESERT LAND and My Style share the same handicap rating but the latter’s yard is out of sorts at present so David Simcock’s Leicester runner-up looks the one to be on as long as the ground doesn’t turn soft. Jered Maddox was second at Dundalk back in February but has not reproduced that form in six starts since
