Native Commander, Herecomestanley and Dalriath form the shortlist here and Native Commander can make up for some near misses. Herecome stanley has largely proved a good runner for the bookmakers, as he keeps running well and hinting at a win next time before going close again. He has even flattered when falling on two of his last three outings and does not look a winner but a place is attainable again. After winning at Cartmel last year, Dalriath has failed to win since but was not running badly when unseating her rider last time. She has failed to complete on three occasions since that win and does tend to make mistakes. Irish historians will remember Native Commander's last win in April 2003 but another landmark success could be on the cards here. The top weight has been running consistently and following a series of placed efforts and a good second last time, Native Commander can prove the least one paced of this field and take charge here.
