    Verdict

On the back of some decent form for Michael Bell on the Flat, WAYWARD GLANCE was sent off favourite on his hurdling debut at Wetherby but dropped away in the closing stages having held a prominent position off the final turn. This sharper track may suit him better and, in a first-time visor, Jim Best's four-year-old is fancied to recoup losses. Winning Spark shouldn't be far away if building on his second at Plumpton but Archie Rice looks exposed at this level and Go Set Go disappointed at Huntingdon earlier this month. Solaise has won a point-to-point and a bumper but has been off the track for a while and may need this.
