Verdict

Spirit Oscar has won over hurdles at Lingfield and Fontwell this season and has already been successful in a point-to-point. She has her mares' allowance in her favour here but was rated slightly inferior to DESTROYER DEPLOYED over the smaller obstacles and the switch to chasing is expected to suit Tim Vaughan's stayer. He was placed behind At Fisher's Cross at Cheltenham in his younger days and that kind of form suggests he should take all the beating in this. Mondo Cane was second at Sedgefield on his debut under Rules but more will be needed here.
