Verdict

Murphys Promise has won his last two point-to-points and should have a future under Rules but will need to be useful to get the better of LAMB OR COD. Philip Hobbs' charge has to concede 6lb to his rivals but showed much-improved form in blinkers when winning by 18 lengths at Cheltenham and a repeat performance would be good enough here. Superior Quality was only beaten half-a-length at Ascot in March and is also worth a second look, though he possibly lacks the scope of his likely market rivals.
