CADMIUM was bought for chasing so it was a bonus when he made a successful hurdling debut for Willie Mullins at Limerick in December 2016. He didn't reappear until last month when making too many mistakes over fences at Navan so doesn't look an obvious odds-on chance but in expectation his jumping will have been ironed out he gets the vote. Highland Fling was in fine form over hurdles in the autumn and makes his chasing debut as does Veinard, who has been running in top handicaps over timber but has a strike-rate of 1-23. The latter's stable companion Timiyan has done well to win three times over hurdles but hasn't shown much in two starts over fences.
