Verdict

Kilford makes a belated debut under Rules having won three point-to-points though an absence since April 2013 is an obvious concern. The versatile Moonshine Lad made a reasonable start on his chasing bow at Navan despite a few novicey mistakes and is certain to have gained from the experience, though it will be a surprise if he's good enough to beat NOBLE EMPEROR. Tony Martin's charge, a winning bumper and hurdler, has come up against very stiff opposition in his two starts over fences, both on this track, and has acquitted himself very well so this looks his for the taking. Green Energy hasn't taken to fences but Oscar Fiain can win races in his grade in time.
