In depth

Verdict

Innocent Rebel can continue his winning streak, perhaps at the main expense of Keltic Lord and Light Des Mulottes. He pulled up on his Hunter Chase debut in February 2007 but showed decent form on his next two starts of last season, winning by over 30 lengths at Newton Abbot in April. He has carried on from where he left off between the flags and got the better of a useful sort in Goblet Of Fire at Buckfastleigh last time. Keltic Lord is an experienced and pretty consistent performer; he looks sure to make his presence felt but he does lack a recent run. His stablemate put up a decent display in a competitive race at Newbury last time although he was never able to get into a challenging position. He shouldn't have any problems with this shorter trip and has a top pilot in the saddle but we think Innocent Rebel can prevail.
