In depth

Verdict

Benayoun ran well enough on debut to suggest that he may be able to score today with a little improvement but we're going to side with Captain Becket. Watch Out should also figure. The selection made the frame here back in November on his second start over hurdles having been well beaten in this grade on debut. He didn't run too badly on his next two starts before finishing well beaten on his return from a lay-off earlier in the month. That was on unsuitably heavy ground and he should fare better here providing that the going doesn't become testing. Benayoun made a satisfactory debut here earlier in the month; this longer trip is far from certain to suit and he does need to improve for his initial experience but that's not beyond the realms of possibility. Watch Out was out of his depth last time but should be a player in this company whilst Alisar is not without claims but we'll award our nominal vote to Captain Becket.
