Verdict

A tight betting heat is in prospect despite the low turn out. Calfstown Lord showed a little improvement in first time blinkers last time but faces a tougher task in this company. Fours Are Wild would have claims on his best but has beeen a shade disappointing of late while Woodlands Beau is nothing if not consistent but appears to be handicapped up to his best of late so the vote goes to Influence Pedler. The Karen George-trained gelding has been given a break after running poorly last time and will be fresher than most while a reproduction of his placed efforts earlier in the season should suffice.
