In depth

Verdict

Dune Raider created a favourable impression when making a winning hurdling debut at Worcester earlier this month and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to follow up with Ladino and Go Free rated the main dangers. With David Pipe's horses among the winners it is reasonable to assume that Opium des Pictons may be better than he has shown previously but he is difficult to recommend on all known evidence. Oliver Sherwood's Tytheknot has shown only a modicum of ability so far and of more interest may be Go Free, who made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when fourth behind the useful Vaughan over course and distance earlier this month. The Philip Hobbs-trained Ladino has shown promise in all three starts for his current connections and will surely win races but he may want a softer surface to show his best form and a safer bet looks to be Dune Raider, who is taken to follow up his Worcester success.
