Verdict

My Sharp Grey, Albuhera and Cedar Rangers look the ones to focus on in this tight affair and the tentative vote goes to My Sharp Grey. The filly from the Martin Pipe yard has been placed on the Flat at up to one mile and is sure to have been well schooled for this her hurdling debut. Under conditions that suit, she could be hard to beat receiving weight from all her rivals in a first time visor. Albuhera showed a modicum of ability when sixth behind Comply Or Die in a better race last time out but that horse is also trained by Pipe so he should know where he stands as regards My Sharp Grey. Cedar Rangers is also worthy of respect as he was a fair third behind Flying Spirit last time, but gave the impression that he would be seen to better effect over further. So, we are happy to stick with My Sharp Grey.
