In depth

Verdict

Cusp confirmed her liking for testing ground when a comfortable winner at Plumpton last month and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to prevent her from following up so she gets the vote to follow up with the main threats looking to be Ruling Reef and Clock House. The last mentioned disappointed at Uttoxeter last time but has solid claims on earlier form at Wetherby, a reproduction of which would make him a big danger. Better Moment is capable but inconsistent and David Pipe's gelding may struggle to give weight away all round, while Spider Boy is finding it hard to win and may have to settle for a minor role again. Judy The Drinker is hard to recommend on all known form and of more interest may be Ruling Reef. Mark Usher's gelding is strictly held by Cusp on running at Plumpton though and Cusp gets the vote to prove to be too strong again here.
