Verdict

Some fair form to work with and it is COEUR DE FOU who gets the vote ahead of Calon Crwbin and Tigerbythetale. Second on his debut at Kelso, the selection was staying on really well at the line but just found it coming too quick. Well-fancied for that run, this more testing track should suit and wiser for that run he is selected. Calon Crwbin has shown ability in two runs and bumped into a fair sort in Suburban Bay last time, Tigerbythetale was fourth on the all-weather at Lingfield last time and should appreciate this track rather than the all-weather, whilst Golbelini is one of three fillies in the race and she ran well on debut at Towcester. Of the newcomers, John Cabot, whose dam is a half-sister to Mudawin, Quite A Fella, and Philadelphius, from a stable who do well in bumpers, all join Mail De Beivre as likely newcomers. Tzora is another for consideration, but this half-brother to Whispering Death will need to be pretty decent to beat Coeur De Fou who gets our vote.
