In depth

Verdict

Chilling Place gets the nomination here with Preacher Boy and Waltzing Beau rating the main dangers. The selection has plenty in hand of these on hurdles ratings and although he has been well beaten of late that has come in much better races. This looks easier and under conditions that suit he need only put in a clear round to score. Preacher Boy rates the main danger on his second behind Halcyon Genaladais but he has since took a crashing fall at the Festival and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Waltzing Beau is another worthy of respect as he won with plenty in hand when beating Terevic last time out. However this looks tougher and he will need to improve again to defy his penalty. Of the remainder Idole First has the ability to go close but has been let down by his jumping of late so can not be put forward with any confidence and with this in mind for the winner we return to Chilling Place.
