Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Double Eagle, Waking Ned and Obaki de Grissay and the narrow vote is given to Double Eagle. The selection won well last time out when beating Endless Power and although rising in the weights and on a quicker surface he looks progressive and is taken to defy the handicapper. Waking Ned rates the main danger on his latest second behind Dickie Lewis but he often finds less than expected off the bridal and again he is opposed. Obaki de Grissay was a fair third behind Johnny's Kick last time out and could improve for this faster ground so should be watched in the market. BallyGalley Bob has won his last two races in good style but this is his hardest assignment to date and at likely odds he is opposed. Of the remainder The The Gangerman is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and in a race where few can be ruled out Double Eagle looks a value each way bet.
