Verdict

Celtic Son, Tom Sayers and Starlight Express look to be the leading players here and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection won well last time out when beating Gaye Dream at Wincanton. She proved she stays this trip that day and now that she has finally managed to get her head in front, it would be foolish to desert her. Celtic Son has been largely disappointing so far, but he is stepped up in trip here and if he sees out this longer distance then he could be of interest with AP McCoy on board. Tom Sayers has shown a fair level of form in Ireland and is interesting on his first run for Phillip Hobbs. A watching brief on the market is advised, but it would be no surprise to see him go well. Ellway Prospect ran well last time and is another to consider, but for the winner we return to Starlight Express.
