Verdict

This looks wide-open, though Deeds Not Words is eased in grade and the three-year-old Expensive Date was last seen in a Listed race at Newmarket in October when only beaten a couple of lengths. CARTMELL CLEAVE has plenty of early pace and looks well drawn in stall three. He could have a few of these in trouble if quickening off the turn, though Dr Red Eye also likes to race up with the pace and Subversive is due a change of luck. Swiss Cross can never be ignored here and could be the pick of the remainder ahead of Nezar and Langley Vale.
