    Verdict

Haydock winner Yankee George has to be respected but a 5lb higher mark and a drop to the minimum trip for the first time have to be of concern and preference is for Titus Maximus, who gets the vote over Azygous and Saxon Saint. The last mentioned is a consistent performer in this grade and should again be thereabouts but seems a shade high in the weights at present. John Dunlop's Qusoor has claims at the weights but has a difficult draw to overcome and of more interest may be Pontefract maiden winner Maggie Minx who would not mind any further softening of the ground. Give Me The Night has claims on the pick of her form but is not the most consistent of performers and a bigger threat is likely to come from Rod Millman's Azygous, who has slipped to a fair mark and is entitled to be thereabouts. The vote though goes to Gerard Butler's Titus Maximus who overcame an absence to land his maiden at Musselburgh earlier this month and he looks well drawn to make a follow up bid on his nursery debut.
