In depth

Verdict

Buenos Y Bobos shocked the long odds-on General Marshal when making a successful debut at Fairyhouse in September and is certain to improve though the runner-up hasn't done the form any favours. Postulation made an excellent comeback when just outpaced by Success Days at Cork where the heavy ground didn't suit. The winner then beat two rivals in the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes so Dermot Weld's charge has to be a threat to all. Shannon Soul is the only one of these to have won on the track though he'll need to do a bit better against the likes of The Happy Prince and QUEEN NEFERTITI. Both are Coolmore-owned and the former has the advantage of a recent run at Limerick where he overcame greenness to score comfortably. However, the latter looked potentially very smart when beating a decent field of maidens at Leopardstown in June and entries in all the big fillies' events suggests she's well regarded.
