Verdict

Hunt looked a certain future winner after narrow defeats on his first two starts but disappointed when favourite at Naas in October. This should be his trip and he should make a bold bid if back to his best. ORTIGA made a reasonable debut here in August and was sent into Listed company at the Curragh the following month. She had little chance behind The Great War that day but was by no means disgraced and can make a successful reappearance. Ningxai was a 25/1 chance on his debut here in September but was noted making good late headway and the experience will have done him good. K Rock is an interesting newcomer as he's a son of Rock Of Gibraltar out of a mare who has produced winners with her first four foals.
