BALMONT FLYER showed his first sign of ability with a very good run over slightly further here early last month and put that to good use when landing a similar race to this in good style a fortnight later. There should be more to come from Joanna Morgan's lightly-raced charge and he can complete the double. Saint By Day has been running well and looks an obvious threat. Mick Halford's charge scored over 1m4f here in September and was by no means disgraced from his new mark on a return visit last month. Bensoon hasn't had much racing and it's asking a lot to carry a big weight with a lack of experience and though Caracal ran his best race for a long time here a couple of weeks ago that was over a mile and he's now gone 29 starts without winning.
