In depth

Verdict

Lake George arrives in winning form having scored at the Curragh in September but he's only raced twice on the surface and has yet to prove he stays the trip. Winning Impact has one placed effort from five starts on the track though he's won three times on Turf while Badger Daly appears to need further. Beau Amadeus looked useful when scoring at Naas last October and was having his first subsequent start when beaten a long way at Navan last month. The heavy ground may have been responsible for that poor display and he's expected to bounce back. Happy Anniversary has won four times on Turf but has rarely raced on an all-weather surface so a chance is taken with EDITH COWAN, who is lightly-raced, lowly weighted and looking capable of better than we saw on her latest start where she was very slowly away.
