Black Agnes has been raised 9lb for a surprise-but-comfortable victory over Twistsandturns here last week, her first start on the surface. Arbourfield had also beaten the runner-up narrowly a couple of weeks earlier, though both races were over a mile. Dylan Hogan's claim could be enough to give the former the edge. Fairy Foxglove did very well to beat War Room here in August but an 8lb rise put paid to her chances on the sand at Laytown while Indian Landing had been in very poor form and dropped to a lowly mark before running well behind My Good Brother at the seaside track. Michael Wigham has always been a very good placer of his horses so the presence of NONA BLU is intriguing. He hasn't won since Kempton two years ago and keeps finding one too good on Turf but wouldn't be running here unless thought capable of travelling back to Newmarket with the spoils. Hollybrowne produced her best run to date when staying on over 6f here last month and has more scope than most of these.
