Yamato had been running well enough before scoring over a mile here last month and is only 2lb higher. The shorter trip is no problem but runner-up LIVE TWICE has a slight pull in the weights and will also appreciate the distance so looks the one to be on. Fairy Foxglove has continued to run well despite being raised 8lb for scoring here in August and can usually be relied on to perform with credit on the surface while Excelli, who won three times over a mile here last winter, looked on the way back to form over that trip here last month and should be winning again soon. Military Hill had been running well on Turf before a moderate effort here though that was over 6f and this is his trip. Ishebayorgrey wasn't beaten far despite finishing mid-division here last month and has been dropped enough to give him a chance of gaining his seventh career victory.
