Elwazeer showed absolutely nothing in three maidens over shorter trips before landing a touch on his handicap debut over a mile here a fortnight ago. Not surprisingly he's gone up 15lb for that and, along with a high draw, that may scupper his follow-up chances. DAISY MOUNTAIN is still a maiden after 14 starts, half of them on an all-weather surface, but she's run well enough on her most recent starts over 6f and a mile to suggest she can finally get off the mark over this trip. She has the beating of Kalacan on her latest run while Lago Indiano is another long-time maiden and lacks a finishing bust though Megan Carberry's claim will be a help.
