In depth

Verdict

HAVELOCK ELLIS is hardly the most consistent of performers and hasn't won since January when he scored over two miles here. He ran well behind Hatch Hall over the track and trip last month then found 1m2f too short behind Empresario a week ago so this could be his day. Credit The Giver has yet to win but went very close over 1m2f earlier this month when giving every indication the longer trip would suit. Alnahar was just behind and has a similar profile while winning bumper No Cash Flow made a promising start on this surface three weeks ago. Esharaat has had 20 runs without winning but has shown in his two latest starts behind Hatch Hall that he'll be putting things right soon.
