Verdict

Crosshue Boy won a novices’ handicap at Wexford under today’s amateur after opening his account over fences at Leopardstown. Despite conceding weight all round, he shouldn’t be underestimated but others possibly have more scope. Kopookris beat FIRE IN HIS EYES (NAP) a length-and-a-half at Thurles in January but was receiving 5lb and is giving 4lb here to Gordon Elliott’s charge, who should take his revenge. The latter has come up against useful novices at Clonmel and Gowran since and deserves a change of luck. Mr Boss Man is still 7lb higher than for his only victory over fences and Barna Gallery is even harder to recommend.
