Verdict

BRANDO (NAP) failed to win last year though is still a high-class sprinter on his day as when beaten only a head in the Group 1 Champions Sprint at Ascot in October. Kevin Ryan’s stalwart has made four winning reappearances over the years and has leading claims at the weights in this. He’s preferred to stablemate Emaraaty Ana but the three-year-old Just Frank can look forward to more success this season having landed the valuable Tattersalls sales race at Newmarket last term. Summerghand has gone close on the all-weather recently and finished well ahead of Mr Lupton when winning last season’s Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood but Tis Marvellous has done most of his winning over 5f so far. Ainsdale and Royal Commando may prove best of the rest.
