Acquitted has been off the track since last summer but has come in for support while Mascat was placed on numerous occasions last year without winning. Dubai Souq raced just the once last season while Queen's Sargent, Mostawaa and Poet's Lady are others to note returning from lay-offs. But the less exposed ARCTIC VEGA made a winning reappearance at Newcastle in January and with more to come from Andrew Balding’s grey now gelded, he should be in the mix again with an apprentice’s allowance helping his cause. Artistic Rifles placed at Newcastle last month and Andrea Atzeni takes over the reins while Amaysmon and Dawaaleeb are preferred to Global Esteem and Home Before Dusk drops back down in trip.
