Serena Brotherton has a terrific strike rate in these lady amateurs' races and her mount Burning Blaze is sure to be prominent in the betting. He won at Kempton last month and was third at the same track two weeks later. Joanna Mason's mount Kalk Bay was third over a mile on his reappearance at Redcar and would profit from a strong pace. Michael Dods holds a strong hand with Redcar runner-up Mustaqbal and Buccaneers Vault, who won at the same track in September. TRAIL BLAZE is an uncomplicated ride for an inexperienced jockey and should give a good account if returning in the same form as when second at Catterick in October.
