In depth

Verdict

A wide-open contest but American Artist should be prominent in the betting. He did well last year but has been raised a couple of pounds since his third at Newmarket in September and wouldn't want any rain. PETRUCCI handled good to soft ground at Windsor in October and was only beaten half-a-length. He'd won earlier on the Polytrack and remains unexposed so is handed the vote as Hell Yeah was a 25/1 chance when winning a Kempton maiden on his racecourse debut and this is a big step up. First Sitting, who won at Ayr in September, is interesting though is among many who are still climbing the weights along with recent course and distance second Burano. Mistiroc looks the pick of John Quinn's pair.
