In depth

Verdict

Before Midnight made a winning start at Bangor last month but is likely to find this a lot tougher under a penalty. Previous winners Two For Gold and Hidden Glen also carry an extra 7lb but contested a Listed race at Ascot in December with Kim Bailey’s charge faring best. No Getaway is a likely improver while Darsi In The Park won between the flags in November and changed hands for £67,000 shortly after. Tom George won this last year with the smart Black Op and saddles STOP THE WORLD. He showed ability in a maiden point in 2016 and Tom George has been patient with the Oscar gelding, whose half-brother Up For Review won a bumper before later landing a Grade 2 over hurdles.
