In depth

Verdict

Dual Polytrack winner Great Demeanor makes his debut on Turf but seems best over 7f. Grandorio competes under a penalty after winning at Newcastle last Wednesday while Mark Johnston runs Staffhoss and Fraserburgh. Joe Fanning rides the latter, third at Musselburgh on his latest start, so he looks the stable pick. BARTACK showed promise in his first season and was only beaten a length by Lilac Lace on his reappearance at Redcar. With Patrick Hills taking off 3lb, he looks ready to open his account now though Derwent took on better company last season and Dusky Queen was sent off favourite on her comeback at Ripon so is presumably thought capable of better.
