Verdict

This looks too short for Blue Wave, who is also high enough in the weights now, but better ground can see Hit The Jackpot back in contention after a slightly disappointing run at York and he has every chance of reversing Ripon running with good yardstick Kinema on 4lb better terms. Captain Morley has been lightly campaigned this year and is another with decent claims but IGIDER (NAP) is worth another chance to show that his Royal Ascot running was all wrong. He got lit up that day and was beaten turning for home but he'd bolted up over this course and distance earlier in the style of a useful performer. Croquembouche is preferred to the out-of-sorts Emerahldz of the others.
